Quantary 70-300mm, set to Macro, autofocus (I can't trust my deteriorating eyes anymore), and with ISO set to 200. Real trick was that it was an overcast day - colors seem to pop. Was happy for these, as I usually use a tripod as my hands tend to tremble these days - wide stance, breathe deep and exhale as I press the shutter.
Plato once said that the shocked wonder at the miracle of being is the beginning of all philosophy. These images, fixed by light in the moment, brought me to just such shocked wonder, and form my philosophy...
